Blue Spotted Mudskipper

Mudskippers have the amazing ability to walk on land as well as swim in water! Their eyes are specially adapted for both environments. Mudskippers also enjoy swimming along the surface of the water, using their eyes kind of like periscopes above the surface. In order to keep the eyes nice and moist when exposed to air, mudskippers are able to retract their eyes, dipping them into a pool of water that collects in the eye socket.
