warm compresses

Applying any warm substance against the eye with gentle pressure can improve circulation, open pores, and relieve muscle pain.

wavelength

The distance between corresponding wave peaks. The spectrum of visible wavelengths is from around 380nm to 700nm, with shades of blue being shorter wavelengths and shades of orange and red being longer wavelengths. UV radiation is the type of wavelength used for LASIK and PRK (UV radiation is absorbed by the cornea, which is how corneal tissue is ablated); its wavelengths are shorter than visible blue wavelengths.
