keratectomy

    Surgical removal of corneal tissue. PRK is an example of a keratectomy.

keratitis

keratoconus

    Eye disorder in which the cornea becomes progressively more conical in shape (as opposed to the spherical normal cornea), resulting in severe astigmatism and blurred, distorted vision. Learn more about Keratoconus.

keratometer

keratoplasty

    Surgical removal of the scarred or diseased cornea, to be replaced with healthy donor tissue.

keratotomy

    Surgical incision into the cornea. Radial keratotomy (RK) is an outdated refractive surgery in which vision was corrected by making radial slices into the cornea.
